Prevalence of Diabetes in Adolescents Aged 12 to 19 Years in the United States, 2005-2014 Few data are available on the prevalence of diabetes among adolescents in the United States, particularly the percentage of thoseundiagnosed.1,2 Theobjective of this studywas to estimate theprevalenceofdiabetes, thepercentageof thosewho were unaware of their diabetes, and the prediabetes prevalenceamongadolescentsusingnationally representativedata.
